Okay, let me be real. I really need to buy groceries, so these protein balls are sort of a hodge-podge of random ingredients that I had in my pantry. HOWEVER...they turned out to be straight up delicious!

These bite-sized beauties are perfect for when you're on the go and need a quick burst of energy or when you need to kick your workout in the booty!

These bite-sized beauties are perfect for when you're on the go and need a quick burst of energy or when you need to kick your workout in the booty!

The recipe is super easy, and my favorite part, no baking required! So grab your food processor and get to processin'!

~Ingredients~

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 ripened banana
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut or almond butter
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (I used Bob's Red Mill)
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews
  • 1/4 cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 2Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • Drizzle of honey - taste for desired sweetness and add more if you're a real sweet tooth:)
  • Healthy dose of cinnamon!

~Directions~

Pour oats into food processor. Blend until oats are fine and powder-like. Add all other ingredients and blend until everything starts to stick together.

Form the mixture into 1 to 2 inch balls. Melt 4 to 6 dark chocolate and sea salt squares and drizzle over all the tasty, bite-sized beauties. I would recommend freezing them so they last longer. You can eat frozen or let them thaw for a few minutes for optimal consistency!

I promise you are going to want to have these on hand! They are so simple and easy to grab on the go! Enjoy!
